About Our Council
Knights of Columbus members are dedicated to fostering a spirit of charity, unity, and fraternity. Our mission is to support our community through various outreach programs, uphold the values of our faith, and provide a network of support for our members. We believe in making a positive impact through service and leadership, guided by our core principles of integrity and compassion.
About the Knights of Columbus
Charity has always been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus—from the moment of their founding in 1882.
Knights are men of faith and men of action. Our charitable activities encompass varied projects of local, national, and international importance. We have international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission, and Habitat for Humanity. Locally, we support our very own Food for Families, and Coats for Kids projects. With these and other local charities that we support, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless.
The St. Catherine of Alexandria Council 9222 of the Knights of Columbus was instituted as in November 1985 with Pope John Paul I as its original patron; it is based out of the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada; and has Round Tables established at St. Denis and Star of the Sea parishes.
